A positive conclusion of this year's IAA can be drawn by the transport specialists of the company Eder . As a small but fine vehicle manufacturer of car transporters and as the only commercial vehicle body manufacturer, the company was able to enjoy lively visitor interest in the vehicles of the Alegma and Fit-Zel brands.
According to sales manager Hubert Gasperlmair, the entire product range of vehicles and trailers met with great interest. Special attention was paid to the Algema Blitzlader 2 Crafter, which was shown for the first time as a service vehicle for VW and Audi dealerships.
In close cooperation with Volkswagen AG, a breakdown and workshop vehicle was presented in Frankfurt that is geared to the needs of Volkswagen dealerships. The car transporter is specially designed to transport the complete range of vehicles from Volkswagen and its brand world, Hubert Gasperlmair makes clear. The vehicle can easily accommodate everything from the up! to vans with a payload of up to 3 tons. This also includes the IQ DRIVE special models with high dead weight as well as lowered sports cars with little ground clearance.
The complete equipment of the breakdown and tool set can be easily accommodated in the double cab of the service van. In the basic package of the VW variant, this consists of, among other things, a jack, tow bar, jumper cables, wheel chocks and guide cones.
Dual-use solutions
The vehicles with double cabs met with great interest not only from Volkswagen partners, but also from other visitors. The space gained in this way means that both the Algema Blitzlader 2 and the Fit-Zel Speeder 2 can be used as a sophisticated dual-use solution. This means that the vehicles can be used not only as transport and towing vehicles, but also as roadside assistance and workshop vehicles, emphasizes Hubert Gasperlmair. Thanks to the extended cab, there is room for up to six people without sacrificing load capacity.
Even in the double cab version, not a millimeter is saved on the loading length of 5,500 mm. This combination makes it possible to quickly and easily rescue not only vehicles but also their occupants from awkward positions. The dual-use variants of the Algema Blitzlader 2 and the Fit-Zel Speeder 2 are further proof that creative and practical vehicle transport solutions come from Eder Fahrzeugbau, which are not only developed but also built in-house in Germany. The numerous visitors to the stand at this year's IAA were once again able to see the quality for themselves.
